Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

That was a close call. Glad that you and your buddies only lost some material things and not your lives.

It really sucks that the water is so high. This is the perfect weather to kayak.

Guess I'll stick to riding my bicycle for at least a couple of weeks.

It certainly is.

Interesting enough the guy that helped me get to the surface of the water owns a sewer service. I had already asked him to send a truck to suck out my septic tank. It is scheduled for tomorrow. Talk about not wanting to lose a customer.

Well done.

The guys asked me if I was scared when I was underwater. And I can honestly say I wasn't. I was too busy trying to pull myself up and out of that current.

I was kayaking on Lake Tahoe 3 summers ago with my bil who lives in Tahoe. We'd been out for about 2 hours & were starting to head back when I suddenly capsized after hitting a boat wake. It happened so fast...one second paddling along then BAM, right into the drink. The water was ice-cold even though it was July & I didn't have a flotation vest on. We were about a 100 yards from shore, in deep water. I tried uprighting the kayak but no go. So...I began pushing the kayak & myself toward shore. I seriously thought I was going to drown @ that point. I was in a bit of shock from the cold water & had swallowed water when I got overturned.

Luckily I've always been a pretty strong swimmer. I finally got close to some submerged boulders & was able to drag myself up on one, & upright my kayak. My bil was freaking out a bit over the whole thing but I told him it's cool, let's finish the trek back.

Lost my prescription sunglasses & some change in my shorts pocket...but not my life.

It's a good thing you've been taking good care of yourself. This could have been a lot worse.

Figures, adrenaline must have been pumping on high octane during those two minutes.
